And it ends on that same note—one sentence. That sentence is in Article Seven and it tracks back to the preamble. What’s the first sentence? We the People do ordain and establish this Constitution. What does the last sentence say? It says that the ratifications of the conventions of nine states shall be sufficient for the establishment of this Constitution. So the last sentence basically fleshes out the idea of the first sentence. These are the bookends.
